The Long-Term Impact of Segregation: A Panel Discussion

February 19, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

- Free

We live in one of the most segregated metro areas in the nation, but what does that mean for Tosa and our neighbors to the east? Segregation not only creates inequities in housing opportunities, but also impacts employment, incarceration rates, and mental and physical health. Our expert panel includes Kori Schneider Peragine, senior administrator for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council; Reggie Jackson, award-winning journalist, race-relations expert and lead trainer/consultant at Nurturing Diversity Partners; and Kirsten Beyer, Ph.D., associate professor of epidemiology and researcher who studies the intersection of health, place and social justice.
