Google “picture books on difficult topics” and you’ll find all sorts of useful lists about topics ranging from divorce to potty training to bullying. But what about books dealing with poverty, homelessness, incarceration and racism? In this program, we will examine picture books that deal with these tender topics and talk about ways to sensitively address these issues with children. Light refreshments will be offered. Registration is required.
